SUMMARY:Beginner Basic ‘Ukulele Class (From 5/21 to 7/30)
DESCRIPTION:Beginner Basic ‘Ukulele Class - (8 Class Sessions)\nThis clas
 s is open to anyone who wants to learn to play the ‘ukulele with little 
 or no previous experience in playing the ‘ukulele.\nYou will learn how t
 o do the following:\n\n 	Tune your ‘ukulele.\n 	Play 4 major chord patte
 rns\n 	Tune your voice to your ‘ukulele.\n 	Play a number of strum patte
 rns.\n 	Play and sing at the same time.\n\nRequired items are:\n\n 	Sopran
 o\, Concert\, or Tenor ‘ukulele (suggested price range $40-$120 for a bu
 dget/beginner ‘ukulele)\n 	Clip on tuner\n 	3 ring binder for class mate
 rials\n 	Pencil with an eraser\n 	Music stand\n\n8 week session\, $80 (new
  students) or $40 (returning students) suggested donation payable upon reg
 istration. All proceeds are for class materials and operating costs. The r
 emainder will be added to the Cupertino Odd Fellows Charitable Donation Fu
 nd.\nDeadline to register is - Noon - Wednesday\, May 21\, 2025\n** Any re
 gistration received after this deadline may be placed and a waitlist for t
 he\nnext session upon the applicants request.\nInstructor Bios: George Bob
 ias and Randee Chin\n\nGeorge started his ʻukulele experience while a hul
 a student at Island Spice and was an apprentice with the Kapalakiko Hawaii
 an Band. While George's daughter was still in elementary school\, he start
 ed an after school ʻukulele class for K-5 grade students in 2017 Even tho
 ught the classes were suspended during the pandemic\, they were restarted 
 the first quarter of 2023 and are still in operation.\n\nRandee's ʻukule
 le experience began when she was a hula student at Hālau Nā Wai Ole in C
 upertino. While there\, she learned to play the ʻukulele and sing Hawaiia
 n music from the legendary Saichi Kawahara. She became a front line perfor
 mer for the Kapalakiko Hawaiian Band and taught both adults and children 
 ʻukulele along side Saichi Kawahara for over 10 years in the South Bay.\n
 \nRandee and George worked together at the Central Park Elementary school 
 ʻukulele classes. They wanted to teach this basic beginner ʻukulele clas
 s to share their love of music by offering low cost ʻukulele lessons and
  to help subsidize the Cupertino Odd Fellows charitable donations for thos
