SUMMARY:Beginner II - ‘Ukulele Class (From 8/19 to 10/21)
DESCRIPTION:Beginner II - ‘Ukulele Class - (8 Class Sessions)\nYou will l
 earn how to do the following:\n\n 	Advanced Strums.\n 	Advanced Chords.\n 
 	Songs in English.\n 	Songs in Hawaiian.\n 	Play and sing at the same time
 .\n\nRequired items are:\n\n 	Soprano\, Concert\, or Tenor ‘ukulele (sug
 gested price range $40-$120 for a budget/beginner ‘ukulele)\n 	Clip on t
 uner\n 	3 ring binder for class materials\n 	Pencil with an eraser\n 	Musi
 c stand\n\nPrerequisites:  either completing Beginner I Class or have abi
 lity to use basic chords and strumming.  Admittance to class will be upon
  instructor's approval.\n8 week session\, $80 (new students) or $40 (retur
 ning students) suggested donation payable upon registration. All proceeds 
 are for class materials and operating costs. The remainder will be added t
 o the Cupertino Odd Fellows Charitable Donation Fund.\nDeadline to registe
 r is - Noon - Wednesday\, August 19\, 2026\n** Any registration received a
 fter this deadline may be placed and a waitlist for the\nnext session upon
  the applicants request.\nInstructor Bios: George Bobias and Randee Chin\n
 \nGeorge started his ʻukulele experience while a hula student at Island S
 pice and was an apprentice with the Kapalakiko Hawaiian Band. While George
 's daughter was still in elementary school\, he started an after school ʻ
 ukulele class for K-5 grade students in 2017 Even thought the classes were
  suspended during the pandemic\, they were restarted the first quarter of
  2023 and are still in operation.\n\nRandee's ʻukulele experience began w
 hen she was a hula student at Hālau Nā Wai Ole in Cupertino. While there
 \, she learned to play the ʻukulele and sing Hawaiian music from the lege
 ndary Saichi Kawahara. She became a front line performer for the Kapalakik
 o Hawaiian Band and taught both adults and children ʻukulele along side S
 aichi Kawahara for over 10 years in the South Bay.\n\nRandee and George wo
 rked together at the Central Park Elementary school ʻukulele classes. The
 y wanted to teach this basic beginner ʻukulele class to share their love 
 of music by offering low cost ʻukulele lessons and to help subsidize the
  Cupertino Odd Fellows charitable donations for those in need.\n\nIf you h
