SUMMARY:New Year's Eve Hawaiian Kani Ka Pila - Music Jam
DESCRIPTION:Come Join Our Lodge's New Year's Celebration on 12/31 from 6pm 
 to 9pm!\nRing in the New Year in East Coast Time\, with fellowship\, food\
 , and music.\nBring your favorite side dish to share.  The lodge will be 
 providing some main dishes\, including crispy roasted pork\, beef stew and
  noodles.  Feel free to bring some complementary sides\, mains or dessert
 s.\n----------\n\n“Kanikapila” is a Hawaiian word informally meaning 
 “a gathering to play music.” Cupertino Lodge 70 hosts a monthly kanik
 apila open to all. The events are free for lodge members\, but non-members
  are asked for a nominal donation. This is a fun way to meet new people\, 
 learn new songs and have a great time!\n\nThe house band\, Laule’a (com
 prised of members Ron Myres\, Les Wong\, Randee Chin\, John Hogle &amp\; J
 im Kabage)\, leads songs from Hawai’i sung in English and Hawaiian.\n\nP
 articipants are encouraged to play an instrument if they have one\, dance 
 hula\, sing\, and have a good time!\n\nOur kanikapila has successfully tra
 nsitioned to being a hybrid event (in-person and virtual via Zoom) based o
 n safety guidelines until we can gather again.
